Revisit: Lunch date @ Oolaa Petite, Hong Kong

This place has become a favourite of ours for brunch dates. The coffee is good, the food is delicious, and we love the comfortable and cosy atmosphere. Although we have been to Oolaa Petite many times for weekend brunch, this was our first time trying the set lunch menu, which is only available 12-3pm on weekdays (hubby had taken a couple of hours off work). The 3-course set menu is affordably priced at HK$158, with several options to choose for each course and includes coffee, tea or soft drink. We arrived just after 1pm and the place was filled to the brim with office workers, ladies-who-lunch and a couple of families with kids. Despite the crowd, service was still efficient, and the food was good quality and delicious. We lingered around until just past 2, and I was amazed at how quickly Oolaa Petite emptied out as the office workers returned back to work after their lunch break. For the first course, there was the choice of chef's soup, a salad or an appetiser; for main course, we could choose either fish, red meat, poultry or a vegetarian pasta; and dessert had two options.

Hubby's Smoked Salmon Crostini - lovely presentation, with the fail-safe combination of smoked salmon, sour cream and dill:

I really enjoyed this Mango and Avocado Salad - juicy, refreshing and creamy:

Hubby's chicken roulade was tasty, though I wasn't keen on the brussel sprouts (this would be the pregnancy speaking for me, as all the veges in the cabbage family would trigger my morning sickness, which I suffered horribly for this pregnancy):

I loved this Crusted Salmon - simple but thoroughly enjoyable:

Chocolate Cake was on the menu for dessert, so we both got chocolate (I think panna cotta was the other option). It was good, with the scoop of vanilla ice cream:

I'm glad I finally got the opportunity to try out Oolaa Petite's set lunch menu, which is good value. We were happy with the quality, flavour and presentation of the food.
